Increasingly, studies suggest that people who eat large amounts of fatty fish oils may have lower rates of depression, suicidal tenden- cies and violence. This is because omega-3 fatty acids are thought to affect serotonin levels, a neurotransmitter that helps to regulate and enhance mood.

High EPA for Advanced Support Reduces joint pain and inflammation.
The omega-3 essential fatty acid EPA is primarily associated with healthy inflammatory balance and arachidonic acid metabolism. Fish oil has been studied as a treatment for a wide variety of “autoimmune diseases”; conditions where the body’s own immune system attacks itself
Examples of autoimmune diseases include:- rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel, disease, and asthma.
In all three conditions, fish oil has been shown to effectively reduce pain and other patterns of inflammation such as those found in joint, muscles and ligaments. There is also some evidence that fish oils play a preventative or delaying role in the development of breast and colon cancer. Low levels of omega-3 fatty acids have also been associated with prostate cancer.
In observational and epidemiological studies, higher plasma levels of EPA have also been associated with healthy moods and behaviour, improved memory, increased attention span and support for brain function and learning disabilities.
