The world around us is filled with toxic chemicals. We encounter these chemicals in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the cosmetics we apply, the household cleaners we use, the pesticides and synthetic fertilizers we spray, etc. These chemicals invariably find their way into our systems often accumulating in fat tissue. In addition to exposure from external toxins, our bodies produce endogenous toxins as the end-result of cellular metabolism.
In 1976, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) began measuring levels of environmental toxins found in humans (The National Adipose Tissue Survey, or NHATS). The study measured the level of toxins in fat samples from individuals across the country. In 1982, 54 different environmental toxins were investigated, providing alarming results. Five toxic chemicals were found in 100% of all samples and another 9 toxins were identified in 91% of all samples. These toxins included harmful chemicals such as benzene, toluene, chlorobenzene, DDE and dioxin. PCBs, substances which are highly toxic to the immune system, were found in 83% of all samples. A total of 20 toxic chemicals were identified in 76% of all samples. Remember, these “samples” were fat tissue taken from real people!
“Environmental toxins” are increasingly being found in our bodies. Studies show that 20% of women golfers have increased susceptibility to breast cancer, linked with exposure to pesticides used on the golf course. Empirically, these numbers are also showing up in the prostate of male golfers.
Rachel Carson, with her best selling and highly controversial book, “Silent Spring”, in the 1960’s, was largely responsible for the amplification of the environmental movement leading to the ban of DDT pesticides and other environmental toxins. Despite these efforts these chemicals persist in our environment and can remain in our bodies for years.
LPO-Tox is a blend of homeopathic signature frequencies designed to address the accumulation of toxins in lipid-dense or fatty areas of the body. Homeopathic estrogen and progesterone are included to nullify the signature of toxic hormone-mimicking compounds.
